<<< In one of his first American films, SABOTEUR (to name a final excerpt in this anthology), a man holds a villain from a ledge at the top of the Statue of Liberty, but the villain's sleeve comes loose and he falls to earth. To fall from Mount Rushmore, as I am imagining it, would be to fall off the earth, down the vast edges drear of the world.
